Aiguilles de Chamonix - Faces Sud-Est (été)

The famous Envers des Aiguilles, paradise for alpine granite climbers who also want to work on their tan. Thanks mostly to Michel Piola and his partners over the years, there is a huge wealth of very long routes at all grade points (4c to 7c+).

This image was shot while paragliding above Vallée Blanche and mostly shows the Envers du Plan area (the left half). I made the choice to not draw the lines on the E faces of Pointes des Nantillons and Aiguille de Roc (Amazonia, Bienvenue au Georges V, Children of the Moon, etc) even though they are technically visible, as they are so compressed in perspective as to be unrecognizable.
